Unit Titles Act 2010: Regulations

Overview

Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has been consulting on proposals for unit titles regulations.

The Unit Titles (Strengthening Body Corporate Governance and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2022 (the Amendment Act) made a range of changes to improve how bodies corporate are run, and to support unit owners and prospective buyers. Three sets of regulations are needed to give effect to some of these changes.

There are also proposals for regulations about several matters that are already in force, that will provide clarity about processes.
